Discover the history of the buildings and restoration to become the impressive site today.
Llwyn Celyn is a Grade I listed medieval building, once part of the Llanthony Priory estate. It was built in the late 15th century and sits on a hillside at the mouth of the Llanthony Valley.
The valley has for centuries attracted poets, artist and romantics and witnessed the struggles between English and Welsh rule. The Landmark Trust's careful and sympathetic restoration has not just saved the site, but also tells its history - the story of the people who inhabited it during times of political upheaval and agricultural change.
